Fremont Fair, Naked Old Men, and the Karma of Lost Phones…

Published by billiamofbelltown at 3:50 pm under Weekends Edit This

Yesterday was full of activity! I started by joining my good friends at the Fremont Solstice Fair, which for us was basically an excuse to drink in the afternoon.  After a couple of hours at Nectar and The Red Door, we went for some fair food, which consisted of waiting almost an hour (no hyperbole, almost an hour) for a couple of hot dogs, I also visited a friend working at the Ten Thousand Villages booth (selling Fair Trade goods).  Three booths down from thher booth was a “Family Nudist Camp” booth, and I must confess, I could have done without seeing a trio of naked old men standing around generally making people feel awkward… Why is it that nudists are never 22 year old girls? After gathering a good deal of sun and fun, we headed for a party in an amazing loft overlooking the city near Ballard, it was on the way to the party that I found a cellphone on the seat of the cab.  With both the found cell-phone and my own cell phone’s batteries near-dead, it was quite difficult to track down the owner, but I eventually was able to return it to its proper owner!  I think I have generated some good cell phone karma for myself, maybe now the space key on mine will start to work better?
